Why "Weight" 'till Swimsuit Season?

I’m a big fan of healthy habits. I even created a FREE facebook group to help manage stress & wrap up the year on a high note - simply by instilling a few healthy habits. If you’ve found yourself doing these things and still struggling to lose weight the answer may be in your gut!   • Intermittent Fasting - there are many ways to integrate fasting. I like the 16 off and 8 on plan. For instance, I eat dinner about 6:30pm and do not consume any food after 8:00pm until I eat lunch the next day after 12pm. From 12pm till 8pm I try to consume only healthy anti-inflammatory foods that help nourish my system and lose those few extra pounds. Typically when I follow this eating plan I lose about 1 pound per day without changing my workouts or other routines.
  • Decreasing inflammatory Foods - this is key to not only losing weight but maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The top inflammatory foods include dairy, gluten, soy, sugar, peanuts, corn and artificial colorings/flavorings. Honestly, if you eat healthy meats (grass fed, wild caught, prairie raised) and a variety of fruits and vegetables you can’t go wrong. If you are still eating things that come in a box or bag chances are you’re consuming inflammatory foods. These inflammatory foods add toxins to your system, make you not only gain weight but hang onto water weight and feel bloated, puffy and tired. If you can eliminate the above foods you’ll start feeling better after even a week!
  • Improve your gut bacteria - this is where the secret lies! Did you know there’s a specific strain of bacteria that’s been studied to help with weight loss? A specific strain of bacteria known as B420 was studied and shown to provide a 4.5% reduction in body fat mass in overweight participants. The participants also showed a decrease in calorie consumption! By only changing the probiotic they took!
